Rasha Abdelmonem

Hello, my name is Rasha Reda Abdelmonem. I am an Executive Member of the Burrendah Primary School P&C, as well as a member of the school board. I started my volunteer journey when my eldest joined our local public school in 2014, beginning as a class parent helper before taking on different positions in various community associations and then founding and leading an NFP education service provider. As an interpreter by a profession, crafter and a mum of three amazing sons, it is my pleasure to contribute with my best ability to bring useful and different ideas to the table.

I am a strong believer that the way to foster a cohesive community fabric and have thriving, resilient families is by building strong partnerships between the school and parents and carers. Public education is shaping Australia’s future. Positive engagement with our schools enhances outcomes for our children. The P&C can provide an excellent platform where parents and community members may have a united voice on key topics, effect change, provide resources, and offer constructive feedback and solutions.

As WACSSO State Councillor for Canning North, I represent the opinions of affiliates within my electorate. As such, I will contact you regularly to ask your ideas and opinion on issues that are being discussed by our WACSSO State Council. You are more than welcome to contact me with any questions or feedback you have.

If invited, I would be happy to visit your P&C Association to introduce myself and learn about your achievements, goals, and challenges.
