Conference guides the direction of our organisation and serves as the platform for future WACSSO activities and initiatives.
This highly-anticipated event is the one time of year public school parents and the education community from across Western Australia come together to learn and share experiences.
The official constitutional functions include the consideration of new policy, determination of priority issues, and mapping action for the coming twelve months.

Annual Conference is your opportunity!

WACSSO Conference Agenda Session Guide
Affiliates can have their voice heard at Conference in two ways:
- Raise an agenda item in the Annual General Meeting section of the agenda. This is your opportunity to raise the important topics and issues facing your school communities at the State level. For more information about how the Conference Agenda Session is run, we suggest watching the videos displayed above.
2. Pose a question to the Minister for Education or the Director General, Education.
Please remember, to submit an agenda item at Conference, you must first pass a motion to do so at your P&C. The motion needs to be moved in the usual way and you may be asked by WACSSO for a copy of the minutes where the agenda item was raised as a motion before it progresses to Conference. The final wording of your agenda item can be edited following feedback from WACSSO (this often happens), but you P&C should see the final wording before it is presented at Conference. The final wording does not need to be motioned at a meeting, just the intent to raise an agenda item and the draft wording and the background information that will be contained therein.
