Member Support Officer (Part time)

Reporting to the Executive Officer, the Member Support Officer will support WACSSO members with a range of functions. This role is part-time (9:30am – 1:30pm Monday-Friday) and can be based on site at our East Perth office, fully remote from anywhere in Western Australia, or somewhere in between!
The Member Support Officer will be responsible for:
- Handling member queries via phone calls, emails, chat, and in a Facebook group using our FAQ database.
- Capture and track queries using the CRM system.
- Develop social media posts in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Specialist.
The Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate is likely have a mix of the following:
- Social media savvy, with experience administering a large community Facebook group
- Previous experience in administrative or customer-service roles
- Demonstrated time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Honest, reliable, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Access to stable internet for phone and connectivity
- Ability to speak and write copy in “the parent voice” highly desirable
- Canva and/or graphic design skills highly desirable
- Qualification in media and/or communications (or working towards) highly desirable
- Experience on a P&C highly desirable
